Stinger is close to being great and I can't quite put in words what it's lacking.

I think maybe if some of the characters were cut or if the similarities to The Stand weren't so prevalent, it would have been better. save hide report. I see a lot of people who have read both and prefer Swan Song, but I just don't see how.

I also think Swan Song is a better book in that it has better pacing and I think McCammon’s characters are more believable than King’s. It was written like a dopey 90's tv show. The characters are dispersed across the country, much like King’s characters in The Stand. …
